Pergoda or pergola

Pergoda or Pergola

Pergola and pergoda are often used interchangeably, but they are actually two different types of roofed structures. A pergola is a roofed structure with open sides and typically arches or trellises for support, while a pergoda has walls as well as windows and doors to provide more protection from the elements.

You may need to make some adjustments if you’re looking for a pergoda—it's not just an open-air version of your standard backyard enclosure. Pergola has been popular in Europe since they were first introduced by the Romans around 100 BC. The popularity of this style peaked during World War II when women were encouraged to grow their own food at home so that soldiers wouldn't go hungry while fighting overseas. Nowadays this could be anything from sitting under on a warm day with friends, hosting barbecues in the summertime, or simply storing your gardening tools so they don't get wet in rainy weather!

Pagoda roofing

The pagoda roof is an arched roof with a central pillar. The pergola roof is a series of arches supported by columns or pillars with the centre open. A pergola does not have a central pillar, but can provide shade for an area and has less architectural flair than the pagoda.

Pergola BBQ area

When it comes to entertaining, the pergola BBQ area is the perfect way to add some space. Whether you're planning a barbecue or just want somewhere cool to hang out with friends, this style will be great for your needs.

Pergolas are known for their ability to create shaded areas without needing too much space, as they can easily be attached in front of walls and over patios. They also look great when there's foliage planted underneath them; this adds extra privacy for those who want it but still offers views into the garden from above.

For those looking for more luxury than just shade, try using a pergola canopy instead; these usually come complete with fabric coverings that let light pass through but block out any rain or wind from getting in (and keep insects away). This kind of design is perfect if you like having al fresco dining areas and don't mind spending a bit extra money on something special!
